Imbalance in Hormones

Marietta GA Gynecologists

Most often, when women think of their hormones, they think of just the “female” hormones. Of course, the hormones specific to women play a huge role in their menstrual cycles, there are many other hormones in the body that affect other systems. Any time hormones are off balance it can cause different systems of the body to experience issues and keep you from feeling your best. Women who suddenly feel out of sorts or “off” should bring this concern to their gynecologist. A gynecologist has the specified interest to help women find the source of an imbalance in hormones and the means to help correct it.

There are different hormones in the body, produced by different systems, that are said to be the body’s chemical messengers. Hormones control most of the body’s major functions, so when there is an imbalance in hormones the body does not feel or react like it should.
